certification according to VDI2700 sheets 8.1 and 8.2
general information
With the purchase of a new FMS vehicle, you will receive a confirmation that the vehicle complies with the requirements of VDI2700 sheets 8.1 and 8.2 – in short, a declaration of compliance. According to VDI2700 sheets 8.1 and 8.2, compliance must be checked annually by a qualified person.
The purpose of the inspection is to verify that your vehicle continues to comply with the requirements of the VDI guideline.
The following persons are currently considered qualified:
- officially authorised inspectors and equally qualified employees of the monitoring organisation
- specialized personnel from the vehicle manufacturer
- personnel within your company who have been trained specifically on our vehicles
We will offer the necessary training for FMS vehicles at our premises starting in 2026.

Using the input field, you can check whether vehicles have valid certification. For this purpose, you will need the 17-digit chassis number of the vehicle.
Please note that vehicles for which we have not received confirmation of the annual inspection are listed as ‘not certified’. To confirm that the annual inspection has been carried out, you need to fill in the form – Formular – Rückmeldung jährl. Prüfung.

Starting 2026, we will offer training courses that will enable you to carry out the annual inspections for your FMS vehicles on your own.
The training dates will be posted here soon. Once the dates have been announced, you can send an obligatory registration by email to info@fms-fahrzeugbau.de.
Due to the limited number of training places, you can already sign up for our waiting list without obligation. As soon as the dates have been set, you will receive a personal notification. However, a confirmed training place can only be guaranteed once we have received your registration for a specific training date.
